T.R.E.E. Inc. Awarded “Outstanding Tree Advocacy Group”

We are pleased and humbled to announce that T.R.E.E. Inc. was named Outstanding Tree Advocacy Group for the year 2020 from the Florida Urban Forestry Council. Thank you to everyone who has helped us organize and conduct plantings in the Tampa Bay area in the past year! We look forward to a productive (and less viral) 2021!

Will Moriaty Named Outstanding Environmental Non-Profit Partner

We are pleased to announce that Keep Pinellas Beautiful has named Will Moriaty, the president of TREE, Inc., as the Outstanding Environmental Non-Profit Partner for the year 2020. Will was pleased to accept this award at an annual awards ceremony on December 4th, 2020. You can read more about this honor and everything else happening within TREE, Inc. (including a handful of plantings that are happening in January 2021) in the most recent copy of our newsletter.

Covid-19 Update

The leadership of T.R.E.E., Inc. continues to evaluate the feasibility of conducting tree planting projects in the Tampa Bay area. A small planting of ten people took place at the Camp Bayou Nature Reserve on June 13th that was done while maintaining social distancing guidelines advocated by the CDC. With the recent surge in Covid-19 cases in Florida, the status of future planting projects remains uncertain.

Due to the mandated stay-at-home order from Governor DeSantis, T.R.E.E. Inc. has made the painful decision to put all of its planned events on hold until further notice. We plan to work with local community organizations to reschedule all plantings once the restrictions surrounding this pandemic have eased. For the moment, however, we must prioritize the safety of our members and community by limiting all in-person social interactions – including our events.
